I chose Family Medicine because it allows for a holistic, patient-centered approach to healthcare. Family Medicine offers the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients across all ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide range of medical issues while promoting preventive care and overall well-being. This specialty also enables me to serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for my patients, which aligns with my personal and professional values. Allama Iqbal Medical College further reinforced my desire to pursue this specialty, emphasizing the importance of continuity of care and the ability to manage complex health conditions within the context of a patient’s life.

I was thrilled to match with the Northwest Health Family Medicine Program. During the social dinner and interview day, I was impressed by the welcoming and supportive atmosphere created by the residents, Dr. Joel Bates, Dr. Amanda Mathews, and Ms. Rylee Catlin. The genuine camaraderie among the residents and the approachable nature of the faculty confirmed that this program offers a collaborative and nurturing environment, ideal for my growth and development as a physician. The program’s commitment to comprehensive and patient-centered care aligns perfectly with my own aspirations in Family Medicine, making it the ideal setting for my residency training.
